The catalog for the Vok II auction, which will be held on March 12, 2016 at rippon boswell auction house, is now online.

RK intends on doing a more detailed commentary on some of the lots offered which should be online in a few days.

But for now let us make a prediction: This second tranche, of the advertised three from the Vok Collection, will have far more difficulty achieving the broad sale percentage and occassional financial success seen in the first sale. In fact we are more than willing to go on record and predict a not more than 60% sale percentage with few, very few, lots selling for much more than the estimates.

Simply put of the almost 100 lots on offer, actually there are 87, we did not spy anything to make us look twice, forget any wow.

Yes, there are a few Suzani which are very good examples but none that was a super bell ringer like a couple in the Vok I sale.

Of the Anatolian and other Kelim even less can be said. However, there is an examplary Senna kelim which we will review.

RK must make a remark concerning that rag hali's continued pimping of the Vok II auction at rippon-boswell auction house in Weisbaden, Germany.

Today's latest ho'mongering concerns three suzani labeled by them as among "the more interesting", and in another following facebook entry what they consider to be the best.

Things must not be going well for the sale, otherwise why oversaturate the pubicity?

Regardless, RK's predictions are in, and in a few days we will all see how right, or wrong, they are.
