Topic: Au Revoir Textile Museum

Since becoming chairman of the board a decade or so ago, bruce aka big-mouth baganz has proceeded to destroy an institution that formerly was perhaps the world's most pristine acknowledgement of textile art as well as that of the "oriental rug".

Frankly baganz deserves to be dragged out of his office, tar and feathered, and paraded through the streets of Washington DC. He is truly a fiend, a self-possessed arsehole whose mendacious actions deserve even worse payback.

RK is positive were George Hewitt Myers alive he would grab fat-face baganz by the neck, apply his foot to baganz's ample butt hard enough to kick him across the street.

After puttering around, wasting precious time and resources, baganz and the rest of the equally dumbass Textile Museum board members were forced to close the museum that Myer's singlehandedly built and endowed, sell Myer's townhouse which housed the museum for decades, and "merge" it with George Washington University.

Anyone who believes this is a positive development needs an immediate reality check.

It surely isn't, and regardless of the hype and spin big-mouth baganz continues to bellow it is nothing but complete and abject failure.

Here is the latest press release heralding the appointment of a man who doesn't know the first thing about a carpet loom from the fruit of the loom boxer shorts under his suit-pants.

"John Wetenhall Director of The Textile Museum

The Textile Museum has just announced that John Wetenhall has been appointed to be director of the Textile Museum and the George Washington University Museum. John Wetenhall will begin on 1 June and will lead the transition of the Textile Museum to the George Washington University campus.

John is an accomplished museum professional with more than twenty years of executive experience in the field, including successfully leading multi-million dollar capital campaign fundraising initiatives and directing a university art museum said Bruce P. Baganz and continued The Textile Museum and GW are excited to have someone of Johns creativity, wisdom, and accomplishment to take the lead in shaping a new kind of museum, a unique affiliation between a university and an existing art museum."

"A new kind of museum"?

What the fuck are you talking about, big-mouth baganz, you douche-bag fool.

Who needed a "new kind of museum" when the old one was not only pre-eminent in the textile world but also among the best of the world's small specialist museums?

The next time RK comes within arm's reach of baganz we will be sure to spit in his face, that stupid pompous clown.

We could write more about the travesties big-mouth bruce baganz has foisted on Myer's Textile Museum but we must stop here before smoke starts to come out of our ears.

We urge all RK readers to email the Textile Museum and complain about baganz's leadership, that of the board he heads, and demand he, and they, be shown the door and never allowed to return.

The "new" "improved" Textile Museum is supposed to open in March 2015.

It will be interesting to see how badly big mouth baganz and the rest of the cretins on the museum's board have bungled the job, as they have done with everything else they have touched.

After more than a decade of taking the museum down the primrose path to its demise baganz deserves to be shown the door and have the bottom of a large shoe applied to his posterior.

What travesty he and his board of director have meted out to Myer's great gift to textile lovers and the general public.

There is absolutely no truth behind the smoke-screen of excuses and hype they have issued except the facts of their own failures, greed and stupidity.
