Had RK chosen to participate in the bozwell sale we would have bought this kelim, which is in our estimation the only one of those on offer worth owning.
But since we already own two earlier, far more historic examples of the genre it was not hard to resist participating.

We have written about them before and postulated they are the archetype for pieces like lot 13, as well as the far more common examples from Kashgai and the surrounding vicinity.
We should add maltzahns attributing lot 13 to Azeri is, once more, nothing but a numbskulls pin-the-tale-on-the-kelim, a game only a rug-dunce of his proportions would entertain.
